Recreational Land · SC & GA

Hunting leases in South Carolina & Georgia.

Open leases are rare and go fast — most ground renews with the same clubs year after year. Join the list and a forester reaches out the moment a tract opens up. Forester-owned, across SC & GA.

The Waitlist

Be first when a lease opens.

Leases rarely reach the open market, so the list is the surest way to hear about one. Here is how it works:

  1. 1

Tell us what you are after

Your county, the acreage and game you want, and your budget.

  2. 2

    We watch for it

When a tract that fits opens up, we know before it is ever public.

  3. 3

    You hear first

A forester reaches out so you can act before it is gone.

    Common Questions

    Hunting leases, answered.

How do I find a hunting lease in South Carolina or Georgia?

Most leases never get publicly listed — they renew quietly with the same clubs each year, so the best way to find one is to get on a broker waitlist before ground opens. Wise Batten is forester-owned and brokers leases across SC and GA; join our list with your county, the acreage and game you want, and your budget, and we will reach out the moment a tract that fits opens up.

How much does a hunting lease cost?

It depends on the tract — acreage, game, habitat quality, road access, and how it is managed all factor in, so per-acre rates vary across SC and GA. Rather than quote a number we cannot stand behind, we price each tract individually and tell you exactly what is included before you commit.

How long is a hunting lease?

Most run a one-year term tied to the season, with the option to renew. In practice, most clubs renew the same ground with us year after year — which is why open leases are rare and the waitlist matters.

Is liability insurance required to lease?

Yes. Lessees carry hunting-lease liability insurance naming the landowner as additional insured. It is inexpensive, protects both sides, and we point you to a provider so the policy is in place before opening day.
